100 WC- Prompt below

100 WC- Prompt below

The giants died out soon before we humans walked the planet. Not many people knew about them, but the ones who did kept it a secret. The information was rare, and scientists made sure there were no traces of this species left. They were trying to keep their planet from confusion and fear. It was for the best. Everything was going smoothly, but they forgot one vital piece of evidence. They had made a giant mistake. People traced down the legs of a giant, and soon it was no longer a secret. This planet wasn’t protected from the dark secrets others had anymore, because maybe, there was a chance these giants weren’t from earth.

Prompt:

100 WC- although they ran quickly, they were not making enough progress

100 WC- although they ran quickly, they were not making enough progress

The portal was opened. All of the scientists and researchers would gather round, taking notes. This world was dangerous, even more than our own. It would take you to your dream, give you whatever you wanted. The dangerous side was you could get confused between this world and the real one. You would get lost in a fantasy, all alone. A flashing came from the portal, as of it was trying to say something. Although they ran quickly, they did not make enough progress to escape. The researchers got dragged to the portal, with it closing behind them. at least they’re not alone.

Title: Simon vs the Homo sapiens agenda/ Love, Simon

Author: Becky Albertalli

This book is about a closeted gay guy called Simon who meets another gay person online. They send each other anonymous emails, until one day someone called Martin finds the emails and takes screenshots of them. He tries to blackmail Simon by sending out the screenshots and posting them on Tumblr if Simon doesn’t get Martin with his new friend, Abby. Simon falls in love with Blue, the person he met online, but they still don’t know who each other are. This book is about Simon finding out who Blue is, dealing with Martin and bullies, and coming out to everyone. It’s a really sad and interesting book, but it’s for mature readers.

Goals check in

Goals check in

For my first goal, which is being faster at calculating area I have been working on area, but I still have a lot of room for improvement with this goal. I have read some books about ot, and tried to figure out a pattern for them. This term I think I should pay attention in relating lessons and do what I did last term.

With my second goal I think I’m getting better with this goal, but I do stick with the same books, because they are the most relatable and enjoyable to read for me. I have tried not to think about the genre too much when I pick up a book, and I think that I shouldn’t worry too much about what I read, as long as It’s just right.

With my learning behaviour goals, I put my hand up a lot more on class, and it makes it easier to concentrate when you are participating. I have made sure I wasn’t fidgeting and making a neat page. I think I should keep on doing what I did last term.

I think that when you are participating a lot, that’s how you get the most out of lessons, so I just need to keep on doing the other goal. I put my hand up a lot, and tried challenges. I think I shouldn’t take the easy way.
